Tourism Industry Employees not Prioritised in National Vaccination Drive
Key tourism industry stakeholders have claimed that the government has not prioritised tourism industry workers in the national covidshield vaccination program despite the sector being identified as a priority sector. Sanath Ukwatte, President, The Hotels Association of Sri Lanka (THASL) stated that even though industry workers have been told that they will be given priority in the national vaccination drive, they have so far had little or no access to the vaccination rollout.
