SLTDA Obtains Approval for Inter-Provincial Travel for Foreign Visitors
Following complaints received from foreign visitors highlighting the difficulties faced during inter-provincial travel, Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) yesterday obtained approval from Health Services and the Police allowing foreign visitors to seamlessly travel between provinces within the bio-bubble concept.
The issues faced by foreign visitors stems from the government imposed travel ban prohibiting travel between provinces as part of its efforts to minimise the spread of the COVID-19 virus. According to the SLTDA there are currently 2803 foreign visitors in the the country. (Read more here)
