The Period of Uncertainty Extends for Sri Lanka’s Tourism Industry
The tourism industry in Sri Lanka has been severely affected by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, with recovery looking unlikely in the first two quarters of the current financial year.
These sentiments were shared by Mr. Nalin Jayasundara, Managing Director, Aitken Spence Travels who further stated that the industry is relying on the vaccination drive for frontline workers to be completed as soon as possible.
Given the recent escalation of the COVID-19 situation in Sri Lanka, building confidence among foreign travellers around Sri Lanka being a safe destination to travel to, is also of utmost importance according to Mr. Nalin Jayasundara.
