THASL Requests the Government to Consider Lifting Travel Restrictions
Sanath Ukwatte, president, The Hotels Association of Sri Lanka (THASL), in a statement requested the government to consider further lifting of travel and operational restrictions on hotels.
While Mr. Ukwatte welcomed the limited easing of travel restrictions he stated that the effects of the current travel restrictions was disrupting local tourism and the job security of those stakeholders currently engaged in tourism.
THASL has put forward 13 recommendations to be considered by the government.
