President CCTHA expresses concern over high Visa Fees as the Country Prepares to welcome Tourists from 1 August
M Shanthikumar, President, Colombo City Tourist Hotels Association (CCTHA) hailed the move to open the country for tourists from 1 August while expressing concern over the Visa fee of $100 per person. While commending the Government for the relief measures granted to the Industry and the Tourism Development Authority for the proactive approach in handling the Covid-19 pandemic, president CCTHA stressed the importance of ensuring that the high visa fee is not considered a deterrent is choosing Sri Lanka as a potential travel destination with the other countries in the region also vying for the same tourists.
