Airport Reopening Date Still Pending
Rajeev Sooriyaarachchi, Vice President, Airport Aviation Services (Lanka) Ltd stated that the date for reopening Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) has still not been finalised. The government has prioritised containing the spread of COVID-19 and the repatriation of Sri Lankans stranded overseas. Health authorities will conduct an assessment of the COVID-19 situation prior to making a final decision on the Airport reopening.
