Government Allocates Funds to Develop Tourist Attractions
Prasanna Ranatunga, Minister for Tourism confirmed that the Government has allocated Rs. 167.64 million to develop tourist attractions across the country. According to the short term action plan developed in order to revive the hard hit tourism sector, funds will be utilised to develop 12 tourist attractions, develop community driven tourism and the development of the three old forts of Mannar, Kalpitiya and Batticaloa among others.
