Flights to Regional Destinations to be Operated from Ratmalana Airport
Tourism Minister Prasanna Ranatunga said that the Ratmalana Airport will be used for flight operations to Maldives and certain other destinations in the southern parts of India. The minister further mentioned that 75 flights are operated out of the Ratmalana Airport and the cabinet approval has been received to begin International flight operations.
For airlines using the airport, a concessionary refueling rate in addition to the 50% waiver of the disembarkation fee has also been approved by the cabinet.
