UNWTO Together With FAO Work Together to Develop Sustainable and Responsible Growth of Rural Tourism.
The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) joins hands with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) to sign an agreement on working together towards sustainable and responsible growth of rural tourism.
This initiative was taken during World Tourism Day 2020 celebrations, which was celebrated globally under the theme of “Tourism and Rural Development”. UNWTO Secretary-General Zurab Pololikashvili stated that this Memorandum of Understanding between UNWTO and FAO focuses on the nature of tourism and the importance of cooperation to assure that it works for everyone.
