Sri Lanka scored 93.96 points, securing 2nd position as the best country to visit in 2020 during a vote by the readers of the up-market travel publication CondeNast Traveller, placing Italy at number 1 position with a score of 94.05. Although the country is closed to foreign visitors due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the authorities have plans underway to create travel bubbles.
