IATA reports a Sharp Decline in Global Passenger Traffic for 2020
Global passenger traffic results for 2020 has indicated a sharp decline measured in revenue passenger kilometres (RPKs) compared to full year 2019 as reported by IATA . This is the steepest decline in aviation history with future travel bookings down by 70% in January 2021 compared to same time last year. The decline is expected to put further pressure on Airlines potentially impacting the timing of the expected recovery.
