Concept of ‘Quarantine Holidays’ to be Revisited by the Industry’
Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority on the 25th of April issued a notice to safe and secure hotels on international travellers arriving in Sri Lanka for the purpose of 14 day quarantine en-route to other countries. Some countries are still allowing visitors who have quarantined in Sri Lanka to enter their countries if direct travel from the country of origin in not allowed. Given the criticism and issues surrounding the logistics of ‘quarantine holidays’ the tourism industry is set to revisit the concept. (Read more here)
