Crocodile Park to Open in Matara
In an effort to increase conservation while also attracting the interest of foreign visitors, plans have been put in place to establish a Crocodile Park in Matara.
Prasanna Ranatunga, Minister of Tourism stated that he will work in tandem with the Minister of Wildlife to bring to life this new concept which will uplift the tourism industry in the Matara area. This initiative is also expected to address the human crocodile conflict faced in the district of Matara.
