CTISL Requests Prime Minister to Offer New Compensation Package Targeting SME Sector
The President of the Chamber of Tourism and Industry, A.M. Jaufer, made a written request to the Prime Minister to offer a new compensation package to the SME sector in provincial areas. The request consisted of 9 recommendations, 2 of which included an extension of moratorium and grants. He further mentioned that the recommendation includes continuity of a one-time payment of LKR 20,000 and LKR 15,000 to guides and tourist drivers, respectively, for a further six months and an extension of the moratorium on loans and vehicle leasing payments.
