Government Focussed on Tourism Investment Opportunities
The government has identified tourism as a priority sector to develop the economy and will be introducing a special program to attract tourism related investments. Incentives will be offered to encourage foreign direct investments (FDIs) in to the country post the Covid-19 pandemic. Prasanna Ranatunga, Tourism Minister reiterated that the government will be providing relief to local and foreign businesses focussed on eco-friendly and sustainable tourism investment opportunities.
