New Tourism Training Schools to be set up at District Level
Plans are in place to establish tourism training schools at district level as part of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s vision of prosperity policy. Prasanna Ranatunga, Tourism Minister highlighted the need to upgrade the courses currently offered by leading institutions in the country to degree level courses and confirmed that discussions are already underway with the University Grants Commission in this regard.
