President Prioritises Vaccinations for the Tourism Sector
The tourism industry was put on a priority vaccination drive to help the industry pick up with improved health and safety protocols.
This decision was welcomed by The Sri Lanka Association of Inbound Tour Operators (SLAITO) and its partners as well as the Colombo City Hotels Association (CCHA) and the Colombo City Restaurant Collective (CCRC).
The Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) registered restaurants and hotels were permitted to open at 25% capacity from today.
Prasanna Ranatunga, Tourism Minister, also stated that taking steps to vaccinate the front-line staff will support rebuilding confidence in the global traveler.
