Proposed Amendments to the Tourism Act Not the Need of the Hour – UNP
The United National Party sharing their thoughts on the proposed amendments to the Tourism Act, said that the government should focus its efforts on reviving the tourism industry that has been hard hit by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Dinouk Colombage, UNP Working Committee Member stressed that with industry stakeholders large and small struggling to survive changes to legislation was not the need of the hour. Effort must instead be directed towards supporting the industry further. (Read more here)
