SLAITO Welcomes the Extension of the Saubagya Loan Scheme
The Sri Lanka Association of Inbound Tour Operators (SLAITO) shared their gratitude towards President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister & Finance Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa for the lifeline provided by extending the grace period of the Central Bank-backed 4% Saubagya Working Capital Loan Scheme from six to nine months. In order to effectively revive the industry, a further request was made to look into the possibility of opening up borders for tourism in a controlled manner whilst conforming with all the health and safety guidelines provided by the COVID Task Force and Ministry of Health.
