SLTDA Confirms Influx of Tourism Investments Despite Pandemic
Despite the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic the government has been successful in attracting over USD 950 Million in foreign investments over the last 15 months.
Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) recently confirmed that 64 project proposals has been received by the SLTDA thus far with 38 projected already receiving the relevant approvals.
According to Kimarli Fernando, Chairperson, Sri Lanka Tourism revamped policies to encourage international investment expeditiously and streamlined processes offering greater efficiency and transparency was instrumental in this endeavour.
