SLTPB Organizes a “Sri Lanka Tourism – Post-Covid-19” Webinar Via the Online Platform of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia.
Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau together with Sri Lanka High Commissions Overseas, hosted a series of webinars, in updating key tourism stakeholders on the current situation in Sri Lanka due to the Covid-19 pandemic. A discussion with global media and tour operators also took place on how the country would promote post-covid promotional activities within the industry.
The webinar was attended by 126 Tour Operators/Travel Agents from countries such as Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Uzbekistan, and Iran. Kimarli Fernando, Chairperson of Sri Lanka Tourism spoke on Sri Lanka’s readiness to welcome more guests from Russia despite the country currently been closed off for foreign visitors with no confirmed date to reopen the country to travellers. She further emphasized on the commitment of Sri Lanka’s Tourism Authorities in assuring them that the country will be taking all necessary precautions to make sure that all travellers from Russia and around the world will be provided with a safe and secure stay.
