STAX Identifies High Focus Fields Required to Reposition Sri Lanka Tourism
Sri Lanka tourism has taken a plunge given the double impact of the Easter Sunday attacks and the Covid-19 pandemic the country is now having to face. Sri Lanka has been known to be a preferred destination for foreign visitors for decades even though the country has not been able to constantly maintain revenue like some of its regional counterparts. STAX has identified a number of high-focus areas that would require attention in repositioning Sri Lanka tourism whilst taking into consideration the latest trends and developments amongst travellers and destinations. It is expected that the industry would need a year or 2 to return to a semblance of normalcy.
