THASL and CCHA Welcomes the Extension of the Debt Moratorium
The Hotels Association of Sri Lanka (THASL) and the Colombo City Hotels Association (CCHA) welcomed the extension of the debt moratorium provided to the industry by the Government and the Central Bank for an additional six months. The tourism industry is badly affected following two back to back shocks in the form of the Easter Sunday terror attacks and the COVID-19 pandemic, and the extension of the debt moratorium is expected to ease some of the pressure faced by the industry.
