Surviving and Thriving Post COVID-19
The Sri Lanka Tourism Alliance’s Resilience Webinar Series launched on Friday, 01st May 2020.
The Sri Lankan Tourism Industry is no stranger to crisis. The industry has always remained resilient, and focused on what to do next. The webinar series, which is free to the public, aims to harness the abundance of knowledge, insights and best practices in the local as well as global tourism industry, to guide and assist Alliance members to navigate this trying period.
The first webinar was titled “Surviving and thriving post COVID-19. Sri Lankan tourism leaders share their insights on navigating the crisis and going beyond.”
Industry heavy weights Hiran Cooray (Chairman, Jetwing Symphony PLC) and Timothy Wright (Vice President and General Manager, Shangri-La Hotel Colombo) discussed how their companies and enterprises have adapted and led in crisis. Malik J. Fernando, Co-Chair of the Sri Lanka Tourism Alliance gave an introduction to the Resilience Webinar Series, which was moderated by global tourism expert Katherine Droga, founder Droga & Co.
