WHO – Sri Lanka to Receive 20% Requirement of Covid-19 Vaccine Once Developed
The World Health Organization has assured that 20% of the country’s requirement of Covid-19 vaccines will be provided once development is complete. A technical team has been appointed to determine groups to be prioritized in being vaccinated against the virus. A special discussion took place with the participation of Health Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi, WHO country representative Dr. Razia Pendse, Minister of Production, Supply, and Regulation of Pharmaceuticals Prof. Channa Jayasumana, and key officials of the health sector.
