We are going to take a look at using Google My Business.
Let's get right to it, shall we?

My Business is Google's free and easy to use business profile and a great way to attract customers. It helps customers locate a business on Google Search and Google Maps.

Here's how we can use My Business;

  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate information about a business
  • Interact with customers
  • Attract new customers
Now let's start with signing up and verifying your business account; This is a two-step process.

Step 1 - Add or claim your business listing
On google maps
  • Open Google Maps on a device
  • Search for the business
  • Open the business information panel, scroll down and tap Claim this business
On a computer or laptop
  • Go to Google My Business
  • Sign in
  • Use an existing Google account or create a new one and click Next.
  • Enter the business address
  • Follow on screen instructions
Step 2 - Verification
Enter the business in Google My Business to receive a postcard with a verification code within 14 days.

Next, let's go through optimising an online presence.
Here's a few ways to do so;
  • Add business photos and videos
  • Include customer reviews
